Many people think Space Center in Houston is very good. I thought I'd put a little historical perspective on the topic of JH bands. The quality of musicianship, I felt, rivals that of many a high school band today.

I haven't been following the JH band scene lately--I'm sure the programs are running strong. Is it fair to say that in the past, JH and HS bands generally played on a higher level? Michiya Nishino J.

I think one of the most charismatic and effective Junior High instructors from recent times is Bobby Brown. He's moved to HS now of course, but his JH bands were talented and incredibly devoted. It was my great privilege to be in his JH bands. Its now my even greater privilege to be in his high school band. AND her sidekick Scott P. Also, some people are bringing up past bands. Well there is this band director by the name of Barbara Prentice-Lambrecht. She is amazing. She started some programs in Arlington.

Her junior high band was the band chosen to recieve the Sudler cup the first year it was given to junior high schools. I wish I knew for sure of the other pieces they played but these are a few I know of. She is what is the best middle school band in texas at a middle school in El Paso. In the summers, she conducts the 2nd band at the What is the best middle school band in texas Tech Band and Orchestra Camp, and it is a real experience to be in a group she is conducting.

Richland middle school is the best junior high band in Texas. They won the Honor band contest. I would say that they are what is the best middle school band in texas best in the country since everyone know that texas has the best bands.

Michiya Nishino. Just finished my senior thesis yahoo! The district has added a middle school since then so they are not as good as when I was there though. Space center was Honor band and so was North Richland just in different classes. Sorry SC, a friend called me to tell me to change my posts.

Congrats to What is the best middle school band in texas Center! You all have come up with a great list. I would what is the best middle school band in texas to listen some recordings or if not listen to the actual bands perform. People seem to think North Richland MS is good. I want to hear it for myself and know why. I dont know for sure, but I find it impressive to see Griffin Middle School make the honor band at least 2 times in the past eligible years.

Don't forget about the other side of the district. They were second in state. Let's just say, "We have a great school district! I heard he was famous in the eighties. Please respond. Not sure that I would consider him "famous" but John Rucker was a good band director who spent several years in the Pasadena School district 70's before going up to Conroe where he оптом are there bears in charlotte north carolina меня for several years during the 80's and maybe a year or so in the early 90's.
